Tammy’s Story

After witnessing the death of a close friend at a very young age, experiencing the trauma of her parents divorce and her father moving out of state, Tammy was then forced to attend several different schools where she was bullied on a regular basis. These tragedies caused a reading block and failing grades. That is, until one teacher took it upon herself to teach Tammy how to read every day after school. The following year Tammy was on the Honor Roll. This one act of kindness made all the difference! Having discovered a love of reading, Tammy was inspired to write poems to family members in an effort to scatter seeds of kindness. She has written several stories throughout her life and has had her first book published entitled, The Kinder Garden which has also been animated and available for children to watch on YouTube as they read along with their book. Tammy has recently completed two other book titles that will be available in the near future. Tammy has two grown children, a son who serves in the US Air Force and a Navy Veteran daughter currently in college, studying to become a teacher. She also has a Shih Poo named Rocky. Tammy is the Director of The Kinder Garden Project where she uses her talents to help children heal from the trauma of bullying.

“After many trials and traumatic events in my past I have decided to turn my life over to Christ. This is the best decision I have ever made! Through Him I have found the peace and comfort I had been desperately seeking.” Recognizing children who have been bullied and abused will find this same comfort and peace through Christ , I have dedicated my life to helping these children.”

My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.” Psalm 62:7
